The holiday period is over. For most people, that means that the time to relax and take stock of their home, friends, and family is over too. Not the case for me. I spent the 2010 holiday season moving to my first place.
Which means that now that the season is over, I finally get chance to relax and enjoy it. As you can imagine, for a geek like me the best part of getting my first place was s putting together my gaming setup. If the readers of this care about anything I write (and they probably don’t) they will like to see my gaming setup.
But it doesn't stop here.
My gaming setup is located in the living room of my apartment. There I have my Xbox 360 Slim positioned carefully between my 40” LG HD TV, and my 5.1 Surround Sub-woofer. You will also find four speakers for dynamic surround sound, as well as my turtle beaches for special occasions. Atop my TV sits Kinect, along-side it’s younger brother, the “Vision-Camera”.
That’s right! My kitchen is open-plan with my living room. That’s a big deal for me, as before when I needed a snack (another beer) I had to go downstairs, through the hall, into the kitchen and handle business. Now, I can stroll leisurely over to my fridge, and uncork a fresh, cold beverage. British style.
To finish off I have two sofas; one that’s perfect for FPS’s which faces the TV, the other better for RTS and Sports games, which is 90 degrees to the TV’s line of sight, but much closer to it, providing a more detailed view.
Thoughts, opinions, and your gaming setups are welcomed in the comments below. Go on, I dare you!
